On Thursday my mom and a family friend, Sandi, flew into Houston for the weekend and the race. Thursday night we went to my uncle’s farm outside out Houston to get a taste of Texas Ranch Life. Due to the amount of pictures, I’m breaking this up into a few posts. The first post: The Buildings!
Blackbird Farm consists of 6 buildings (at this point). The ‘Guesthouse’, where my aunt and uncle live; the Studio (they are both artists); 2 guest cottages; a cabin house for their granddaughter; and Herring Hall.
Inside the black and white cottage we stayed in.
Their ‘one bedroom efficiency’, in the shape of a C: living room at the top, kitchen/dinning in the middle (what you see) and bedroom at the bottom.
Inside the studio.
Their granddaughters playhouse.
Herring Hall, where their offices and gallery is.
The porch of Herring Hall, which can comfortably seat 90 for dinner.
The firepit for the two of them and 10+ of their closest friends!
I’ll get pictures up of the rest of our trip later today or tomorrow!
(The RR will be up around Wednesday)
I love it, it looks soooo fun!! (little jealous)
