A good day and winter break in pictures.

Warning: there is nothing training related in this post.

Yesterday was a STELLAR day for me. Here are the reasons why:

1) My better half was coming home from AZ (she was there at a conference)
2) The Hawks are the 2010 Orange Bowl Champions (bonus, my brother got in to play)
3) My abstract got accept to a conference, so I’ll be presenting my thesis research at the Midwest Sociological Society in March…
4)…I TURNED IN MY FIRST FINAL DRAFT OF MY THESIS! ‘nuff said about that.

All that aside, here is a visual of my winter break:

The big gift unwrapping (remember my siblings and I are sending our parents back to their honeymoon resort for their anniversary):

Step 1: Unwrap all 12 boxes (my dad didnt think it was as funny as we did!)

Step 2: Tape the puzzle together:

Step 3: Flip over and read the puzzle (gotta love the confused look on my dad’s face!)

Step 4: Enjoy the resort in June!

 
(the exact cabin they stayed in for their honeymoon. They wanted to go back to the same one bedroom love nest!)

Parental advice: be nice to your kids…they might send you back to your honeymoon years later!

Now it’s back to reality. Right now I’m holed up in my apartment since the office is closed due to more winter weather. I’ve started working out again, but nothing exciting to report there.
